Charles River Center Group Helps Out Greyhound Friends

Adults with developmental disabilities from the Charles River Center in Needham visit animal welfare nonprofit Greyhound Friends in Hopkinton every Tuesday morning as part of the Center’s Opportunities & Visions program.

The group volunteers their time to perform a variety of chores to assist Greyhound Friends with the maintenance and the operation of the kennel. It’s truly a win-win situation for both charities.

The Charles River Center is a nonprofit social service agency that has been providing advocacy and a variety of services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families since 1956. Greyhound Friends Inc. is a small non-profit organization dedicated to saving racetrack greyhounds and placing them in responsible loving homes. Visit www.greyhound.org for more information.
