Needham 300 has announced its winners in the 300 Laps for 300 Years contest. Dick Witz won two tickets to the Needham 300 Gala in November and Helen Atkinson won a gift basket donated by the Needham Running Club.
As part of a year of ongoing events to celebrate Needham’s tercentennial, Needham 300 sponsored the health conscious activity to remind residents to keep moving and keep healthy. Anyone completing the 300 laps could enter their tracking sheet for a drawing. Some people walked on their own, others in groups that met at Defazio Park. Completing 300 laps was equal to walking 75 miles.
The gala is on Saturday, Nov. 5 and will feature the opportunity to see the newly renovated Town Hall.
